It became very interesting for me to live with her, she even showed me some aspects of life that I did not know until now.
Cycling fits into this as well. Maybe even more so. Cycling is more expensive and more time consuming. The time commitment is a huge factor.

I've been married to a cyclist (non-runner) for 20 years. I run first thing in the morning (5:00-6:30 am on weekdays) while he rides typically mid-morning. It works fine. I go to sleep around 9:15 pm while he stays up another half-hour or so. I get up quietly at 4:40 am and start my run while he's still sleeping. He wakes up around 6 and putters around until I get back from my run, then we have breakfast together and go to work. Weekends are similar but I don't start quite as early and one or both of us often go longer. Although we do different sports, they're similar enough that we understand each other's needs and we both try to eat reasonably healthy and get enough sleep. Not having kids helps a lot. We have dogs, but those are a lot easier to manage.

I'm dating someone who I like a lot and think has serious long-term potential. We live fairly close by (and work very close to each other) so it made it easier to hang out a lot. However, they will sometimes work late such as around 10 PM, and I've now been trying to get to sleep by 11 (or 11:30 at the latest) PM so I can be up at 7 to get in a run... initially sometimes I would hang out with them and it would hurt my sleep but I'm trying to amend that. I'm not training super seriously, around 50 mpw, but it's important to me because it plays a role in my happiness and starting my day right - I try to run earlier so while it's not as hot and I can get to the office at a good time.
Sometimes we will sleep in on weekends until late, but I'm starting to realize I prefer getting up early on weekends too to get my run in and then have a productive day and don't just like lying in bed for hours.
Anyone been in this situation? What was a good compromise?
Yes. I stayed in bed and had morning sex. Then went for a run in the heat.
