Again you miss my point, it is you that is the dummass.
Nobody posting 14:20s or 15:20s but lots just under 15. It's a simple point but perhaps beyond your grasp.

Believe it or not, I realized "the point" when I responded.
In that case your response is even more baffling.
What? I don't understand Butler street!

That's not my point smart arse.
Hundreds of people have run under 15 minutes but it's amazing how many people on here post times of 14:59, 14:58 etc
These guys are 15 minute plus guys who believe they can run sub 15 one day so their conscience lets them post a time just under. It doesn't take a lifetime studying psychology to work it out.
Look, I agree mostly with Rampant Rat. I guarantee plenty of people here have have "lowered" their time a bit thinking (well, I could have run that if....a,b,c,d....Or maybe they ran a short course, but figured.....hey, close enough. Or, they ran a 2.5 mile race and did there own special conversion to 5k. You know, like the people that add 10 seconds to their 1500m pr and call that conversion their mile pr).
And the same with drinking totals. How many people actually COUNT their drinks when drinkin that much?! But these guys rememer every drink. 7 drinks magically becomes 13. Hey, close enough.
I mean, c'mon, it's like penis size. Even when posting on an anonymous board, where no one knows you, one will most likely add an inch or 2(at least) just to feel good about themselves compared to others. HUMAN NATURE. So yes, several people are lying on this thread, period.
Now having said all that, there is ANOTHER facet of human nature to consider: people obviously get attracted to subjects they do well at. People with decent 5k PR's see a thread about "5k pr" and they will jump all over it. They think: Hey, this thread is my chance to be SOMEONE! And yes, this is an international site, with runners from several generations on it. So, out of all the people looking at it, from all the generations, sure, you should EXPECT that several with good 5k prs would hit this thread to give themselves a shout out. And if they were boozhounds too, all the better! Then they really get to shine.
So several people are lying, but the majority with decent PR's are telling the truth, they just got pulled to this thread like a magnet.
Me? Seveal years ago.......PR 13:59, 37.5 beers, 11 glasses of wine a week. Or thereabouts..........(oh yeah, 8.75 inch penis, and best abs you've ever seen)
14:15 but i just do cocaine, alchol is too risky
My 5k PR is technically a 16:02 at the 5k in an 8k race a year ago, but I've run a 9:18 two mile, so I am sure I can do better, I would say in season I drink 30-40 beers a week if I drink 2-3 nights, which is usual, and 3-4 nights for about 50 beers if the coach takes the varsity team out of town and gives us B teamers an extra day off, I dunno if I could make the A squad if I didn't drink so much, but is it worth it??? Helllllll no. I like my beer, as much as I liked coming home drunk to read this thread.
This from the movie THE CLOSER YOU GET.(set in Ireland)
"I don't have to go to the pub. I'm not an alcoholic. I can drink at home". Oh how I love the Irish.
16:29 (Female)...I drink beer but its not my first alcoholic beverage of choice, on a weekly average I probaly drink 2 beers, 3 glasses of wine, two martinis and a few vodka a red bulls.
16 5k. 6 Barcardi colas, one happy camper.
16:48 2to 4 beers a day.
15:46 and 25-30
I'm not a sub 15er, I've broken 17 and few times in my life on very flat courses and/or back at sealevel. I personally know 3 guys who have broken 15 and consistently hang around the 15:15 mark. Two of them drink 2 to 5 beers a day and one doesn't drink at all. I've seen the one get blasted the night before a race, look like hell in the morning and run 31ish 10k. That guy is truely amazing. His pre-race was always 5or 6 beers, italian sausge sandwiches smothered in salsa, butter and cheese. I'd get sick just watching him and he always tell me lighten up, you train to hard to deprive yourself.
