Or, for those that have worn Adidas Boston’s and Adios as I have in the past, is the Escalante 2 similar to the Boston and the Adios similar to the Escalante Racer?
That’s what I’m wondering what’s going on.

The Escalante Racers have been great. I rotate a lot between them, Solstices, Kayentas and some old One 2.5s I have still.
What is size equivalency between Escalante Racer and Solstice (and Escalante 1.5 if anyone else knows). Solstice for me is a perfect fit in US 12,5 .. I tried some Escalante 1,5 in 12,5 but they seemed quite a bit smaller (as well as more mushy) so thinking about either a 13 or the Racer but not sure what is correct size ?
racer fits a little big on me. I have the nyc version in M10 and it feels like 10.5, but that could also be the extra little toe space you get with altra.

You probably Had the wrong size. With altras you can fit close to toe tips compared to the extra inch plus with conventional lasts.
extra inch or more? jesus man, who taught you about shoe fitting? nobody needs an inch...even the "thumbs width" is excessive unless you have tons of swelling

I've worn the Boston 6, have tried the adios for a few miles, and have a pair of Racers. I've tried on the E1, 1.5, and 2 but never owned any.
Racer used to be massively different than the 1 and 1.5 but the 2 got closer. less stretchy upper and firmer midsole, but the racer still feels much lighter and thinner.
The Bostons feel better to me overall because I prefer the narrower fit and the softer heel. I have been rocking my Racers recently to try to improve my form a bit, and nothing does the job quite like a zero drop racing flat.
