I'm training to run 1000m in around 3 minutes. Are the Boston 6 fast enough for the task or will they hinder me? Otherwise I'd go with the Adios, but I'm reluctant because, after the 1000 time trial I'd have no use for a racing flat. Thanks!

I don't know who the Boston 6 are, but you should just ask them their PRs before the time trial.

I don't think it really matters. I run about that pace for repeats in my trainers. The shoes will move exactly as fast as the feet that are inside of them.

If you are training for short distances you will own a pair of spikes.

I don't really recommend any shoe over 6oz for 1000m
Look into spikes if its on track or Nike LT3/4 if on road
