How many people DONT hate their jobs?
From people who make very little money to people who make a lot of money it seems as tho nearly all hate what they do.
What occupations do people not hate?

I don't know if you could pay me anything to make me like my job. Hate wasting my time in a cubicle. I wanna go hike.
No, some of them blow.

True.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching.
Some days are better than others but as a whole its pretty a goodjob. Ok money and good hours.
Now I do admit that it has progressively gotten harder. This is my 14th year teaching and the paper work load is about triple of what it was when I first started. When I first started in the job I had about an hour of at home work Mon-Friday. Now that has inched up to between 1-2 hours and about 2-4 on the weekend. Most of the extra work has very little to do with the class just a bunch of documentation to cover the school's system butt and extra mandates from politicians who have never stepped foot in a classroom.
The increased workload still hasn't gotten bad enough that I would think about switching careers. For around 50 hours a week I can't think of a better job.

Sounds like you only hang out and talk with losers.
Being a lawyer is fun when I'm writing legal briefs or going to court and it suuuuuuuuucks when I'm doing nearly anything else.
No. I have a couple of relatives who are pilots and they both love their jobs. One flies commercial, the other is a helicopter pilot in the military. That being said, most professions are a drag.
this is 2013 data, but only 13% of employees are engaged at work. 63% are not engaged (checked out/cruising). 24% are actively disengaged (they hate it).

Same here. I'd love to be a NP ranger. I bet they don't hate their jobs. But I don't live in the US nor in Canada and don't have an outstanding NP near me.
Another lawyer here. I enjoy the intellectual parts of my "profession," and like some aspects of the lifestyle (a fair amount of independence when your schedule allows it), but really don't care for the "job" components.
In short it is a mixed bag, but I look forward to doing something else, preferably coaching part time and practicing law on a contract basis while semi-retired to fill in some income gaps. But even the coaching gig, which I really enjoy doing, is stressful at times in such away as to make it not fun.
I'm a medical technologist and I don't hate my job. Not that I love it either, but it's far more satisfying than many other jobs I've had. I assume most others in the medical field also don't hate their jobs.

I see what our in-house lawyers do at my company and I'd rather be a garbage man than do what they do. No joke. They are smart and well-paid, of course, but that job SUCKS. Life is way too short for that.
Different people Can either love or hate the very same job.
Some people will pretty much hate any job they have to do.
Some people will pretty much like or be ok with any job they have to do.
By definition when you are forced to do something everyday, like a job, there are probably others things that you would prefer to do.
Doing a job you don't like beats the hell out of no job.
I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment...
For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake
Editor, correct? Journalism major. Is the point to major in math or science?
In the future there will be no jobs. Robots will do all the work. We will be able to make art and music and love.
