I have always had an incredibly high heart rate whenever I run. I have been running for a year and a half and assumed at the beginning it was due to lack of fitness but it’s still just as high as it was back then. During races it can get to 205BPM (just over my supposed max hr if you calculate it using 220-age) but during my easy runs it can be anywhere between 170-195. I’m pretty sure I’m keeping my easy runs easy as I always feel relatively comfortable so I don’t understand why my hr is so high? My brother has used my Garmin watch multiple times and his hr has always seemed accurate. I am healthy, have a good diet and more or less get enough rest. Would anyone have any explanations?
