btw, speaking of the Adios, I just got it another pair for $82
I might get the sub2 in case they ever sell it for half the price

haha, Matthias is such a German guy. but nice. really tempted to shell out some serious money. although I'm pretty sure neither this nor the 4%ers actually help you much. the Adidas marketing guy says they weigh 150gram compared to 230 for the Adios and are also lighter than the Takumi Sen. and they guarantee that they last for 4 marathons, or 200km. well, better not waste money on them
It's very obvious that you've never worn the 4%.
The only relevant facts when it comes to racing flats are race times. So far, I don't see the evidence. It would be very easy to set up a randomized control trial, where you randomly assign runners different shoes and then evaluate. You'd have to think about a way to rule out placebo effects, so assign some the new shoe without all the new technology.

Or you could do what scientists actually do: measure oxygen consumption at identical paces using different shoes.

Yes, the one Nike funded study said there was a 4% improvement in efficiency.
But as the original poster said, there so far hasn't been any translation into faster marathon times in the elite ranks. Even in the half marathon elite ranks. I think Boston last year was
The only WRs to fall recently were on the women's side in both the full and half marathon distances.. and those were Adidas runners.
Aaaaaaand, the Adidas Sub2 no longer shows up on the Running Warehouse website. I think they are waiting for Kipsang to break the world record before they release it to the public.
Strange timeline for this shoe release. A year ago adidas released info on it...now boost isnt even the future of adidas with futurecraft 4d technology being released currently. I think they have been waiting for a big performance...kipsang in tokyo or Berlin to grab the WR. They can't wait any longer so think its coming right after Tokyo.......
huh? it's still there but at 100 grams (3.5 ounces) it might be too little shoe, all comes down to that eva foam block
however if it makes New Balance bring back their 3.5 ounce rc5000 road shoe, now that will be awesome

It’s 5.7 oz with 6.5mm drop.
Wonder if they plan on offering sizes up to 13 like with the Boston, Adios, and Takumi shoes. The prime knit adios only went up to 12 and from the looks of RW these only go up to 11.5

6.5 mm drop. Interesting. Obviously doesnt jive with Nike's claim about the ideal drop for a racing shoe.
For what its worth Amazon has the Boston 6 for $85
Running warehouse said the largest size that they are going to carry is 11.5. I think this may be the largest size that Adidas is making in the sub2. It’s not a matter of running warehouse selling out of size 12, they never had it to begin with.

11.5 is the largest my store is going to carry as well so that could be the case.

funny how they go down to size 5 though. Are people buying 180$ racing flats for children?
Is adidas saying that if you are large enough to need a size 12, then this shoe won’t have enough cushioning/protection? I have never seen a shoe only go to size 11.5.
Running Warehouse are now selling them in Europe. For 200 euros. That makes you pause.
No weight, width or drop indication.
these seem like more of a 5K-HM flat than a thon flat.

More like a make it to the first porta potty flat.
Can someone explain what the difference is between the Boston Boost, Boston 6 AKTIV, and the Boston 6 GFX?
