True, but there are exceptions. I taught about marriage, dating and sex to my church class last week.
Almost all in my church normally attend, by the way.
Thank you. My church has never done well with this subject. No one would choose to be a homosexual.
They would have to be a complete idiot. Also no one would choose to be blind.
I think that no book has everything we need to know about anything. Frank Turek a top evangelist
has stated this. I think we were given brains for a reason. I'm not sure what this means for homosexuals
and marriage. Yes, it seems the bible is clear but what does it mean for those experiencing blindness?
"“Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him..."
No one is born a monogamist. And yet God expects this behavior. Some people have a genetically high predisposition to alcohol addiction. Are they alcoholics even if they never have a drink? Does their predisposition excuse their behavior? Should they get a special "allowed-to-drive-while-drunk" pass because of their genetics. Therefore, there is no such thing as a homosexual. There is only same sex attraction that is either acted upon or not.
Everyone's thinking on the topic of homosexuality has been diluted because the behavior and the identity have been conflated (this was the purposeful plan of those championing their politically correct totalitarian philosophy). But truth is that we all live with the burden of being drawn toward behavior that is wrong. Overwhelming temptations toward a particular act can't be used to justify that act.
So to circle back to the start of my post "There is none righteous. No, not one." We are all born under condemnation, that "the works of God can be revealed in us." So that we can all be re-born unto good works.
