It's been going pretty consistently. The end of next week will mark my 12th week of base training. I'll transition over to some speedwork and keep building from there.
I need to keep working on form drills and strides. My legs felt like they couldn't turn over fast enough when I raced the 1500m.
Just did 16x 200 w/ 30 seconds rest avg 32-33 for each.
What’s my chances?
Congrats on coming back man..
I appreciate you sharing this story as well. It makes me weary about taking any time off from running - fitness is hard to gain and easy to lose
Just wanted to chime in. Hope you are keeping it going! GO NINERS!

Sounds like you have a good chance of running a bunch of 200's at 32-33 seconds =]

Hindsight is a mofo. When I was still in college, the common theme among older runners was that they wish they hadn't taken so much time off after graduating. I had an all or nothing mentality so that's where I went wrong. Nothing wrong with some easy running! I'm basically back to square one at this point.

Definitely not hating, I know I can’t do a workout like that right now, I doubt I could run one 200 in 32 right now. But I do believe I’ll win the race, trust me!

It's going well CLT49erJogger. Some days feel harder than others especially the days I stay up late banging your significant other ;). But I digress, I plan on racing a 5k in the next month or two. If you're in the area and you run, maybe you'd like to get up and run sometime? Workouts are easier with a partner

Ok saw you get 50$ gift card plus 10 for each event win. They should give more given the entry fee is like 60$
