that's a fairly bold prediction, and I'm not saying you're wrong, I think there's a good chance you're right, but it would not surprise me if his biggest US rival in 2020 has not yet run NCAA. if you look back through the history it just seems to happen, every olympic cycle, some new young stud just emerges out of the woods to completely revise expectations. I think this is probably more apparent in the 800m than the 1500m but I think you'll find it has happened a lot and will happen again. and there's still two years to go.

That would mean he’s at oldest, a Senior in HS. So in 2020 he would be a sophomore in college.
