These are the great matchups that our sport needs. Two Americans dueling it out. Huddle vs. Hasay. It even sounds cool.
The best outcome would be if they are close to each other at the end of the race or if they both get the AR.

Only one can get the AR unless they tie. -
I like both Jordan and Molly, but I always root for the underdog. Like to see Becky Wade have an exceptional performance.

I meant break -
I must be excited for this one as despite being tired due to the baby, I decided to get up and watch it.
The AR would excite me but the fact that there also be a race of Hasay vs Huddle and the Africans is what really excites me.
FYI, the AR is 67:34. That comes out to 5:09.24 per mile pace.
Per 5k that's 16:00.78 and 3:12 per km. -

Not to be a stickler but only the first finisher can break the AR. The first finisher who runs faster than the AR will own a new pending AR and the second lady in will not break the AR. -
Anyone else getting no sound on the broadcast or is it just me?
-
What is Shalane's half PR?

Interesting. If you are on ESPN3, you get sound.
IF you are on ABC, you get a split screen. But the split screen is just two shots of the lead men's race. -
no sound for me either
-
The coverage is sooo bad haha. Nope no sound either
-
no sound
espn3 has sound -
For those of you that have the maximum package on DirecTV, there is coverage on the Longhorn Network (Channel 677)
They are currently showing the half marathon. -

no shots of H vs H yet

Good lord the announcer just asked Kara if she goes into her races with a strategy. I know these people don't normally cover running, but come on...

The broadcast is hilarious. They are explaining what a split is. The ironic thing is anyone who is watching on ESPN3 knows that. The only people who might now what that is would be the local ABC viewers where there is no sound.
4:38 1st mile for men.
