I'm back from the meet after the Masters Mile, so I can't speak of the Invitational Events. Other than some screw-ups with check-in, it was a lot of fun. Very hot, and not much shade in the grandstand, but some beneath it. The track is very nice, and the crowd enthusiastic (especially the teammates). There was a good turn-out, with a bunch from CPTC and some from Westchester Track Club (and lots from the host club, Shore AC).
Congrats on a sub 5;00 race on a sub par weather day.
Wayne B got Lane and Blood to visit... nice going Mr Meet Director!!
Thanks WT. It's a process.
But I found the winner of the HS mile interesting:
Boys 1 Mile Run High School
1 Centrowitz, Matthew Broadneck Hs, Ma 4:27.51
Gerry Centrowitz his dad?Or is he Matt jr.? Or none of the above?
Gerry 4:15/20ish
Matt 3:43.4/4:02.7
Power Menorial HS NYC
I'm thinking it's Matt. He was a year ahead of me in the CHSAA, at Power (class of 73). The dominant guy in the league.
check this - is Lauren's bro, therefore Matt's kid
And Wineturtle, I am not the meet director, nor was I responsible for Blood and Lane.
PS - I had the chance to see Jim Schlentz (coach at Colts Neck) laughing with his 4x800 team about tying the NJ state record...and finishing SECOND! That must've been a hell of a relay - wish I could have seen. (And according to Dyestat, there will be a rematch this weekend at NON.)
Wayne,
Thanks for the link. I think the match up is in the DMR with Colts rested and by now I guess Shaker and Syossit have beaten each other up a bit in the 4xhalf.Do not know if any of the runners are going in the open half.
Colin Sahlman runs 1:45 and Nico Young runs 1:47 in the 800m tonight at the Desert Heat Classic
Molly Seidel Fails To Debut As An Ultra Runner After Running A Road Marathon The Week Before
Megan Keith (14:43) DESTROYS Parker Valby's 5000 PB in Shanghai
Hallowed sub-16 barrier finally falls - 3 teams led by Villanova's 15:51.91 do it at Penn Relays!!!
Need female opinions: I’m dating a woman that is very sexual with me in public. Any tips/insight?
