At this point I would think that Herbster, Roberts, and McGregor will start their own college with 100% mandatory participation on the cross country and track teams.
Classes at the university will include:
Mass Communication 101- How to use different e-mail addresses, fan boys, and family members to hype your professional experience on the world wide web.
LetsRun 101- How to navigate pop-up ads, PED articles, and the latest goings on in Eugene, Portland, and Beaverton Oregon.
Coaching 101- Debate various training methods including Tempo Run vs. Critical Velocity Training........How 8 additional heart beats per minute will send you into an overtraining zone.

Vanhoy will be the assistant dean of students and head associate recruiter. Heard it here first.
Just so Mr Longhorn Alumni gets his facts straight. Steele Wasik, George Patrick, Wolf Mahler and Ashtin Zamzow are all Big 12 Champions. Ashtin is the school record holder in the Hep and Pent and Wolf is a 4 time All American. A pretty pathetic group of entitled non achieving cry babies for sure. Whoever the new multi coach is will have a dream team. They all sing the praises of Mario Sategna and appreciate Ty Sevin but know they must move along to the new chapter that’s coming for them. Flo already has their respect. I’m sorry your ego kept you from getting any.
BTW Jason Patrick is a former All American UT Decathlete.
Longhorn alumni—sure if you say so

Listen here D1 coach, heres another D1 Coach, 20+ years at this level and you’re right but exaggerating the point. This guy going to another school every year is his prerogative. But it’s clear that he’s not leaving each year for him and his family. He is playing the game and not proving himself. I personally don’t respect the way he’s gone about his career, but he’s one coach in a sea of coaches. If he’s a good coach UT will do some major things. I have a feeling he won’t be leaving there anytime soon unless he’s canned
I’m with ya- not my bag either. I prefer the long game.

So who takes over at SLO?

Priscilla Bayley was the head women's xc coach, leaving that position open, but Mark Conover is still directing the program.

Right. And that’s why you don’t make any money. The fact is it’s likely that West is the highest paid assistant in the sport now.

That UVA hire could rate as one of the worst hires. No stats or accomplishments. But it is now off the list of ACC schools needing to hire. Why did they not hire Reckhart?
Acc schools needing coaches is mind boggling:
UND- women and a lot of coaches
UNC- 2 coaches
VT- distance
Pitt- Distance
CUSE - distance
It is late in July.
Ok be fair-
Notre Dame just got hired like two weeks ago.
They have coaches in place for XC. Those other hires can wait a little
UNC, don’t know why so long on the distance hire, but jumps just got posted last week. They have to be close on distance hire. Meaders showing why he is on the hot seat.
VT- it is late now but will any guys go with Thomas to Oregon? Might have to wait, but again that needs to be done quickly.
Pitt- Needs to be done
CUSE - no way Brian does not get it and they move smith up into an actual coaching role or smith goes to UNC. But smith would have about as much experience as Roberts as lead coach. And see above Meaders needs to steady the ship. Pat McGregor to UNC (sorry bad joke)
This next week the ACC should have most hires announced. A week from today you can reply to this post.

Awe, George got on here to defend his dad! Hey, can you tell him LR subscriptions are free, and to quit making things about money. He brings that up on several threads, as if owning a temp agency makes you a financial wunderkind.
Take this somewhere else talk jobs. A lot of them are out there. Texas is filled, love Edrick hate the hires but they are done
