Ship him to Kenya for the winter and hook him up with the right sources. He'll no doubt come back as a 2:05 runner.

Rupp needs to start farming sheep to improve his times!

Looks like he "ruined" a better time between 10-15 km. Too fast.
Maybe, but it looks like he made the decision to run with Gabius and Szost, who had both run that pace before and had a pacemaker to at least 25km. Without that group maybe he wouldn't have been in position to run sub 2hrs10. He also finished ahead of both Szost and Gabius, though he was dropping back to them by the finish.
He has trained with Callum Hawkins and Steve Jones in Boulder... https://www.instagram.com/p/BTeuBhzBfcY/?hl=en&taken-by=callumrhawkins
Great pic, and well done to him.
So is he the Yuki Kawauchi of Wales?

You don't like the Welsh?
I hear his favourite Elvia track is The Wonder Of Ewe

Someone posted on another thread that he is the first Brit (besides Farah) to run under 2:10 in 12 years (although Callum Hawkins was close this Summer at Worlds).
Well, then he isn't the first Brit to run under 2:10 in 12 years, is he? What's this "besides Farah" stuff? Is Hall the American record holder (besides Khannouchi)? Either he is or he isn't. He is the first Brit to run under 2:10 in 3 years.

There's no pulling the wool over your eyes.
Please NO English jokes, you will hurt my feelings!
My favourite thing about this is that he wore his Swansea singlet. Just like josh Griffiths in London this year. It must be a great club to be apart of, and I hope more runners start representing those that have clearly supported them for so long before they've been fast and will continue to afterwards, instead of being another nameless face wearing a blue Nike singlet that will be disposed off at their next injury.
Apparently large ears are needed to be a white marathoner these days.

He’s not even in the video for the last 5-10 minutes of the race, and you don’t even see him finish.
It's incredible a runner with the doughy, cankle-laden legs shown in that video could be world class.
Must have great aerobic talents.

Aye, He grew up chasing sheep across the bog and heather, laddie.
(Withhold your Welshman and sheep jokes until the women and children leave the room.)
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
