BS, I know dozens of guys running 15:50 in the 5k who have gone 4:25 in the mile. You definitely have a shot; drop your weekly mileage and do some more anerobic endurance work. Short tempos, high volume 400s and 200s, and some 5k paced 800s and 1ks. Get after it, you have a solid chance.
Yeah I've gone sub 16 once, 15:53 and gone 3:54 in the 15. My 400/800 times aren't particularly fast either. Plus the BU track is super fast. Fwiw I was a walk on (for a not particularly fast program), had very similar PR's to you going into indoor and ran 4:23 in one of the mini meets.
