Robert Merton and Myron Sholes are the biggest jokes in the history of Nobel Economics Prize. Not even close.

calling me stupid when your reading comprehension does more than anything to prove you're the one that's stupid is not going to get you anywhere. I wrote "found nothing" next to his name because there were no results I could find on the web showing Porter "laughing" or questioning krugman's legitimacy as an economist

No, this is a generational thing where you substitute intelligence and understanding the positions of both individuals for a Google search. Fail.
Gotta love the Dunnin-Kruger effect. We have a bunch of ignorant know-nothings, who couldn't competently weigh in on what they should eat for dinner tomorrow, weighing in on economists and the legitimacy of Krugman's work.
Of course, by "weighing in", I mean to say "parroting whatever talking points" some other equally backwards but more politically motivated and financed front organization is peddling out to their useful idiots."
And since you clearly need some hand-holding to understand that the two are opposed...

I hope you can handle actually having to read and analyze vs having Google spit out the conclusion for you.

Farah: weak era clown, mediocre at all distances
Krugman: thinks the economy would grow if you paid people to dig ditches and then fill them up again
10th fastest at 1500m is mediocre at all distances and he dose not even race in major champs
Putting fail at the end of a sentence o bolster your pathetic attempt at a response, how cute. And having opposing views does not necessarily mean having to question your opponent's legitimacy, competence or qualifications as an economist. Twit.

Krugman is a quack and has been debunked by Peter Schiff countless times
Peter Schiff??? The guy that has been saying that hyper-inflation is right around the corner for nearly a decade? The guy who said that gold would hit $5000/oz and that the dollar would plummet to nothing?
*That* Peter Schiff?
Schiff thinking you are wrong is a badge of honor.
Based just on citations of his work, Krugman is one of the most influential economists alive. If you add in his (not always economic and often quite polemical) NYT column then he becomes even more significant.
Comparing Krugman to Schiff is like comparing Mo Farah to Dean Karnazes. Sure, Mo may not be quite as good as the popular perception would have you believe, but he's so far beyond what Dean can do that they are barely competing in the same sport.
