I think Mick should let Coach Jill Miller do the interviews for now on.
Why stop there? She is developing talent while Mick's training approach is getting the men injured, not to mention his disparaging comments to the freshman in his interviews. He needs to leave and she needs to stay.
Going back to Dan MClimon in the 70s this men's program has been a lock to go to nationals. That run includes MClimon, then Martin Smith, then Jerry S. Jerry raised the bar and they were a lock for top 10 every year and a consistent podium team. The program Mick inherited was the best in the country and Mick let it erode. He called it bad luck with injuries when it happened 2 years ago and pounded his chest when they made back into the top ten last year. Now they are again on the outside looking in and he will again make excuses.
Bottom line he clearly is not delivering the same level of consistent results as his predecessors and the worst part is he has the whole track and cross country program. Barry Alvarez has a very successful track record as AD and he needs to address this situation.
