No one knew about Harvey Weinstein? Give me a break!

One hears rumors about the men. Terry Crew cannot be the only man in Hollywood to suffer sexual advances. The vast majority of men rape/sexual assault victims do not say anything. Micah Williams says men are being sexually harassed in Hollywood.

Whether in sports, media, or entertainment, whenever there are millions of dollars as well as fame and adulation at stake, you will always find plenty of people willing to inject PEDs or suck cokc to get a piece of that lifestyle. Really, when you think about it (and I don’t condone it) how incredibly easier is it to spend 5 minutes sucking a producer to get a million dollar role, than years of struggling to get better and better acting parts, hoping to get noticed, etc.

So that has always been highly prevalent, and while in a perfect world actresses would not have to do these things, the fact that they did and hardly ever spoke out about even guys far less influential than Weinstein, tells you that they understood the trade off, and were willing to trade their personal principles/morals for a career. Weinstein, however, made the same mistake as Lance Armstrong in trying to humiliate and ruin people, which is a whole different level of douchebaggery.

Harvey Weinstein is a prick but he is a legend in the movie business. Tarantino's next film will be his first without Weinstein, so I'm not sure if it will be as epic as we expect from Tarantino. I hope Weinstein wins in the end. He did naughty things but the actors are equally to blame themselves. They did provoke him and make themselves look too revealing in front of him. They are exaggerating too.

I hope he gets to come back and make more movies. Because he has made epic movies. I don't care about all the stories. The girls were just making crap up so they could get money. Now they have been given 25 million for playing the victim. I guess they are great actors so playing the victim just comes naturally to them.

Weinstein has a criminal court case. He is out on bail. In criminal court, Weinstein won't have an opportunity to pay anyone off. I have a feeling, your post will not age well. When Weinstein in a few months agrees to a plea bargain deal in criminal court and admits to being a criminal, you will not look good.

Again these stories get dropped into media memory holes.

The $25 million settlement does not require Weinstein to actually admit any wrongdoing, and will not even be paid by him, but by insurance companies representing his bankrupt studio, The Weinstein Company. In fact, around $12 million will actually go to Weinstein for the purpose of offsetting his legal fees.

Alvin K. Hellerstein eliminated 17 claims against the once powerful movie mogul who has been accused by women in several lawsuits of seeking to trade his influence in Hollywood for sexual favors. Weinstein also faces trial in state court on criminal sexual assault charges.

The judge also reduced the number of named plaintiffs from 10 to four and dismissed all other defendants. The women had alleged they were attacked from 1993 to 2011. Weinstein has denied engaging in any nonconsensual sex.

Elior Shiloh, an attorney for Weinstein, said in a statement that his lawyers agree with Hellerstein's dismissal of most of the claims and will "explore all options" to get the final claim thrown out too.

The lawsuit first filed in late 2017 had sought to represent "dozens, if not hundreds" of women who say they were isolated and attacked by Weinstein. Unspecified damages were sought.

The lawsuit had also named companies and employees as defendants, saying they functioned together like an organized crime group to facilitate Weinstein's meetings with young women.
