You lose 100% of the races you don't run. Beat Galen Rupp at my local neighborhood 5k. He got a DNS.
Dave Davis. I owned him all through HS. Raced probably 15 times and beat him every time. That is a little depressing because I accomplished nothing past HS and he not only won NCAA Div III title (s) but also ran professionally post college. Looks like I'm the looser.
don't know if i know romny or if he knows me, but i've beaten el g twice in 1994, berlin and brussels. he was not the el g he was going to become, but he was still a pretty fast youngster, and i caught him on sub-par races when he was still an inconsistent developing miler on the international scene. can't be sure, but i may be the only person to say they're 2-0 against him, which i'm sure still haunts him to this day...
I beat Tony Young up at ManRay a few times. Boy, was it thick!
I beat Caster Semenya once.
I once led a fast guy for 1.3 miles in a 5k. He beat me by 30 seconds though. Tough lesson.
Beat NCAA indoor mile champ and rookie pro Henry Wynne over 5K XC once in high school...before he started seriously training the following season.
I beat Noah Droddy in college. Then he became a god.
