Wouldn't call it a 'good showing', but looking at his summer training and Crim race it'll be interesting to see what he does in his next marathon. Seems reasonable that he could run 2:12 next time.
First, after Crim (50:43), 1;06 way too ambitious for 1st half.
2nd, after whatever injury he had, his summer progressed fairly well, with a decent mix of training, but only getting in three 20 mile runs. Suspect that the positive Chicago split was just lack of fitness.
