I noticed this too. It seems par for the course for people to not congratulate Galen, but I'm surprised they haven't done it for Hasay since people consider her to be quite likable.

I take it back, I noticed Deena Kastor tweeted congratulations to her.
Paula Radcliffe also retweeted this. What's Centro doing in that pic?

It's still more than a minute slower than the AR, which is huge, and I doubt she can run faster than 2:20.
You doubted she could do this time.
A brilliant performance.
If she had run under 2:20 she would have run under 2:20. Not really a helpful contribution.

Apparently Centro ran the first half of the race as a WO:

I think her fellow USA female marathoners (Shalane, Kara, Des, etc) don’t necessarily have a problem with Jordan but with Al Sal. If they do have a problem with Jordan they’re probably just not stoked she’s getting all these records/doing so well because it’s more competition. But I think it’s primarily because of Al Sal.
I read a RW article that said Jordan doesn’t mind doing WOs solo but would love to have a training partner. I’m guessing that Al Sal will bring on a female training partner for her.
It will be interesting to see how Shalane fares in NYC. I think currently the USA’s best 2 marathoners are Jordan & Amy.
On an unrelated note I’m finding Olympic Heptathlete Brianne Theisen-Eaton’s (Ashton Eaton’s wife) tweets amusing (@btheiseneaton). She ran 3:55 & has some pretty honest tweets about how brutal it was for her.
I was so happy when she moved up to the marathon. She was always a very very good but not great runner at the shorter distances. She didn't seem to have the acceleration ability or the ability to "change gears" when challenged. Her small frame and body weight are ideal for the marathon. So great that it appears she has found the distance at which she will excel.

It's only her 2nd marathon, very promising. I think that Jordan has really found her niche.

I like Amy and am thrilled about her bronze at worlds. But I think the three best right now are Jordan, Molly and Laura Thweatt
If Al Sal is looking to develop another collegian, I would nominate Allie O. She has similar strength capability over distance, has decent speed now, and if could avoid injury a bit better by adding muscle to her frame in the way Jordan has, she could potentially be a long-term marathon project.

Good thought. I also think Brie Oakley could be a decent marathoner as her stride is more suited for the distance, although she’s just a frosh. Something tells me that since Allie O. didn’t go to Oregon she wouldn’t go to the NOP. But I could, of course, be wrong
I noticed the same thing! So sad. You usually always see Kara G congratulating everyone. And sometimes Shalane. I bet Shalane is just bitter because Jordan took the number 2 spot.
Next Womens Olympic Marathon trials is going to be fun.

And this for a runner who was never all that good at the 10k. t.
Why do you people keep posting garbage like this? She never ran the 10k until her senior year in college. She has run 31:38 on the track and 31:38 on the roads. The road time in 2014 was only 2 SECONDS off the american record when she ran it. A few months after that she was injured.
If she stays healthy and trains for a 10k next year she would run faster than 30:30. She is in exponentially better shape than she was 3 years ago
Jordan Hasay photo bombs the Gold medalist.
I wonder if Celine Dion has ever contacted Jordan Hasay and apologized for winding up with both of their genetic shares of human neck.
lol

I am thrilled to bits for you.
I'm with you track gal. Haters are going to hate hate hate...haven't we heard that somewhere before?
She is the happiest of runners as I've ever seen.
Yep. I hope she never loses the joy of getting out the door.
Currently she is the BEST female marathoner in the USA
Yes! The moment I saw AllieO's stride I said "there is a future great marathoner." AllieO is 2020 or 2024 marathon team member. She's only 20 years old or so, but would like to see her drop BSU, drop the steeple, and go to NOP and start working with Jordan.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
