No. It's proportional though for a given individual. You can basically say if you gain x lbs of muscle your lifts will go up by cy lbs; where c depends on a given individual.
How much one can lift with a given amount of mass will vary from person to person, quite dramatically. 2 people, both with LBM of 170 can have dramatically different totals.

I'd be willing to be eliud would dnf if he had to run a marathon with a 50lb vest. His body structure would not be able to handle that kind of weight difference in a race setting having done no type of training like that. Maybe Ryan and Eliud in a half marathon and Eliud with a 40lb vest would be much closer.

Agree. The IAAF should be in fact introducing weight categories into running in the same way that they do in boxing. The heavyweight category in the marathon should be marketed as the most prestigious category as it is in boxing.
