bumping this, any idea of when 'season 2' will be out lol
Hi everyone,
Episode 4 is now up. I had a computer issue and lost a of work and then had to do some video editing to get a clean version of this episode as there were some continuity issues. I finally got around to restarting and I will work to get the others up as well. No promises on timing but it should hopefully be faster than this one.
Thanks for all the positive feedback!
BUMP THIS!
Bump! Waiting for the next episode!
Huge props to gagenly- this is the best thing an LRCer has ever done for us, IMO.
I am becoming fascinated with the family dynamics. A very different approach than I am used to, and at first seemingly too regimented by Gerd, but I nw understand how it works, and very effectively so.
That Ingrid is a tiger waiting to be unleashed!
gagenly- FWIW I subscribed, but it never showed up in my feed. FYI. I'll keep checking this thread for more.

The Scandinavian shaming of personal excellence is just sad. It is apparent their societies will not last much longer.
It really is bizarre to be honest, especially with their nordic skiers. I spent some time there and it is a very odd dynamic indeed; the culture at large frowns on anything that appears to be 'striving' for excellence or to stand out in any way. The skiers work like dogs to be the best in the world (or at least the world of their very small cult sport) but in interviews are expected to be very bland, never puffing themselves up, etc. Once in awhile someone comes along who doesn't fit the mold (Petter Northug for example) and it is just considered nearly scandalous... frankly it is a very stifling culture in many ways and without their oil money they would be in a world of hurt. The odd thing is though the athletes aren't supposed to appear to be striving, if they fail to perform at the Olympics or World Championship it's front page news with recriminations against the wax techs, coaches, etc. Strange.
Google 'Law of Jante' for a little more insight into their character; it's a beautiful country with beautiful women and of course a lot going for it, but personally I would consider if very stifling to live there..
I'm from Sweden. When I finish a good race and someone asks how it went, I respond "It was fun", while all really want to tell them is how amazing I was, that I PRed etc.
However, I do feel that everything that is written about the "law of jante" is exaggerated. News gives a lot of cred to athletes and other achievements, and we love when we do well in sports. It's just not ok to brag about yourself... The key is to have someone else brag for you.
Loving your work gagenly, cheers brother
would love to see the latest eps done.. I usually hate reality tv but am loving the family dynamics and following jakobs progress...
id even be willing to chip in ~ 2-5 dollarydoos per ep thru paypal to help make it worth your time... I'm sure if other LRC members chipped in itd be worth it
bump
Would love to see episode 5 with sub titles if possible
