1. The OP made no indication of the mother of his children being psychotic.
2. If we are talking true psychosis, then at best we go "case by case basis", but "in sickness and in health" is still part of most marriage vows.
3. I am sorry, but your point of view is part of what is wrong with our society. The single most important thing you can do as a father is show your children how to love your wife. "She went crazy" is a cop out 99.9% of the time. PMS ≠psychosis, even though it may seem like it at times ;-)
