Maybe. I personally don't think that had anything to do with declining ratings last year (the election, see the ratings during and after the election).

I am in favor of stopping playing the anthem before sporting events. Its a stupid political tradition that the owners have injected into the game.

ESPN is disgusting, that's for sure. I think 15 minutes of every hour has to be about social justice issues just to meet some sort of quota they are trying to hit. I watch SportsCenter each morning until they jump to a social justice issue (usually takes less than 15 minutes), then I'm off to another channel. ESPN is basically a hybrid of TMZ and CNN with sports added in.

Wonder if they will still feel as passionate about their protests when their paychecks start getting cut due to decreased viewership (of course is anyone watching the browns anyhow?). I find it ironic that in a sport that is 68% African American, on a team that has an African American head coach, players are complaining about systematic discrimination. I want to start a new movement called #judgeslivesmatter to protest violence against judges. How is it that we have a slew of posts when someone is killed by a cop, but hardly a whimper when someone tries to kill a judge (a direct attack on the legal system):
