She is the one whose daughter called the police about the LRC hooligan who Tim got arrested.

Oh, THAT Karon DAVIS. The mother of Jenny Davis who wouldn't believe her daughter's story about the arrest is false.

END OF DAY RESULTS PER STRAVA
Sandy: 57.0 miles. 13:50:33 elapsed time.
- Slower pace than prior days.
Some kind of summary: OCT 17th End of Day
Mimi: 41 days **
Distance as this night 2,213.2 ** (according to Strava)
Remaining distance: 673 **miles
Ended near her route mile marker 2165 **
Average miles per day: 54.0
** Mimi has been stopped since 07:12 AM of October 16th
Sandy: 37 days
Distance as of this night 2,080.1 miles (according to Strava)
Remaining distance: 987 miles
Average miles per day: 56.2
Remaining distance is based on:
-- Sandy, her original estimate of 3067 miles (Pete K's route). Sandy did make some deviations from Pete's route; some intentional and some off-course.
-- Mimi, her original estimate of 2838 miles with an adjustment for the actual mile marker she ended the day at according to her planned route (2838 miles - end of day closest mile marker). Mimi has gone off-course a few times and her planned route was not on actual roads in a few areas.

Many thanks. Found a couple of races along the hwy 70 route and of course Pittsburgh had a slew of races. Now, just to see if she starts hobbling again in the morning. Thanks for you help on the maps.

I wouldn't bother with the boots at this point. Mimi and her team are following this thread and know they are being watched closely so they would be really stupid to try anything funny. Still, it would be nice to see if there is any evidence that Mimi can run at 190-195 spm for many hours like her cadence data says she does everyday....
I wouldn't take such a long trip for that either, as there should be plenty of people checking the course from now on. Plus the scam's been exposed and she's basically finished anyway.
Someone remind me...didn't RY's escapade end with a visit to a hospital? Must be the "British Way Out", i.e. Ultra-Brexit.

Opinions? Sandy ran a bit shorter and slower today than the past few days, because:
A. It was planned that way in advance
B. The route was harder, or she wasn't feeling great
C. She learned that Mimi has stopped

Sandy would be wise to play it safe now.
if she just does her current average of 56.2 miles/day, she can finish in 17 days on Nov 3rd under 54 full days.
There is no need to risk anything at this point now. There are still around 1000 miles ahead.
I hope you and Scam are right. I thought there would have been some boots in & around Indianapolis. I found a cheap fare into Cinci. And there is a BIG race in Bowling Green with OA, Master & Grand Master money that would cover the air !! Lotta driving though. what to do ...what to do....LOL
SP I did a little Athlinks stalking and it is indeed laughable that those morans with Mimi would characterize you as "unaccomplished". More like an "age-group racing machine"!

Karon, you knew they would, so not really that interesting.
Karon, please tell me you realized the tracheotomy bit was a joke, please.
Karon, your posts are starting come across as similar to those back during the Rob Young, Dave Reading, etc days when the LetsRun sleuths, trolls and truth seekers were hard at work.
Karon, we learn a lot from our Dads.
Karon, this is not a "demand" but how about responding to some of those "accusatory questions".
Karon, why are there so many questions about Miranda but not Sandy?
What makes you think Sandy hasn't been "playing it safe"? Regardless of terrain, weather, etc, she keeps her daily effort right around 14 hours (whatever the distance), which allows her an hour to eat dinner and wind down, 8 hours for sleep, and an hour to get back at it / eat breakfast.

Personally I'd not waste any time with them.
I might compete in the race though, but only if I really really wanted to, considering the long trip.

I don't know if it's just me who feels this way, but you seem to have a very weak minded outlook.

I was curious too, and SP is quite an impressive young lady.
My guess is the answer is a combination of a and b. The "planning" -- from her Strava -- shows pretty clearly her coach and crew want her to stick to right around 14 hours on her feet for the day, giving her adequate "wind down" time, 8 hours of sleep, and an hour to "wind back up" in the morning.
As far as (b), the road she traveled today had HEAVY traffic -- tons of semi-trucks passing inches from anyone running on the shoulder, as well as the fact the temps were warmer than she's experienced in weeks (the body doesn't exactly thermoregulate like normal after running 2000+ miles through every imaginable climate . . . any somewhat stark increase in temps can cause immediate overheating...)

Sandy and her team are doing great, keeping right on their schedule, and I see no reason to change what they're doing.

No. He is just cautious. Markus has completed several runs like this. He know what it is like to have a Mimi stopping event some 150 miles from reaching NYC when he did a Race Across America in 2011.
