I wish the BTC insiders would talk some training tho.
Nice attempt at getting a long line of stupid posts. Rowbury never threw anybody under the bus.

You're right. It was a stupid idea for a thread, and I'm sorry I started it.
So you should be, it's only got to four pages (nearly five).
You are all aware that Shannon WILLINGLY joined the NOP when there was already a strong shade of doubt from USADA and former staff members and athletes about that group. People criticized her for the move because she could go anywhere else so why go to a shady group and coach who at the time had just Trenire Moser and Mary Cain to train with?
Where did Trenire go? She got a lot better in her 30's right after joining the group and all of a sudden we do not see her anymore. Seems odd. Her husband also works for Capriotti.
What is going on with Cain? 2 years ago she was a massive star, now gone and she does not talk at all? Moser and Cain never existed somehow.
For the people that keep asking what the accusations are...do you not read outside of following Farah & Cento on social media or Ken Goe's articles and think that is the entire story? Ritz, Dr Brown, the BBC, Propublica, Magness, USADA investigation, a leaked FBI investigation...that all happened and is happening. That is not some agenda driven fake news.

A doctor initially recommended by Wetmore to Adam Goucher in which the Gouchers are the ones who told Alberto about him
Here is the list of athletes who made huge leaps under Alberto, all midway or later on into their careers.
Adam
Kara
Ritz
Yoder
Mo
Treneire
Rowbury
They were all excellent before joining but rose to new heights under his tutelage. And it's not like they weren't coached by heavy hitters beforehand- Wetmore, Cook, etc.

Not a rip at all Jonathan, but I just looked up your Linkedin. Is this what you do for a living? They pay you that well?

https://youtu.be/LcCITkP57Yw?t=1m33sI find it a little odd that -- according to Shannon -- Alberto didn't tell her why he wasn't coming to Worlds and she didn't ask. But, as Shannon said, she mostly works with Pete Julian, something that is well known, and Pete was in London.
Haha, yup, this is my full-time job. I won't comment on my salary other to say that it is large enough for this to be my full-time gig.
Well Mr. Gault. Whatever your salary is, you're doing a fine job. Hope you saw the appreciation thread someone started.

Someone needs to make a list of people who got worse and/or had their careers ended by injuries under Alberto. It would be longer than your list. Alberto's actual batting average is not good considering the top talent he has attracted.

What (huge, if any) leaps did Adam make under Alberto? In 99 Adam ran 13:11; in 2006, after 2 years under Alberto, he ran 13:10.

I know he has had his fair share of failures, but can you name an athlete that came over mid or late career who hasn't done very well?
I just cannot figure out what he brings to the table that allows Adam to basically come back from the dead, Ritz to inprove by 20 seconds in a month and Mo to basically go from being Teg to being Bekele.
The list I gave was probably 90% of his most high profile athletes and I only listed the ones who came mid or late career and all of them had meteoric rises pretty much immediately.
What does he know that other coaches don't?

Yes, Rojo has said a good 50 times that he rode in a van from the stadium where him and Jerry watched Jager's prelim to the marathon site to watch Cragg. Jerry was very much there.
Perhaps not all of his athletes knew he was there because someone said in an interview that Jerry wasn't there. FTR, I have been with 2 training groups and in both cases the coach of record was not the coach I worked with on a daily basis. If someone asked me who was my coach, my normal reply would be the guy I worked with the most. I could give a different reply depending on how the question was asked. When you have a group of primarily LD runners for example and of somewhat equal ability, then there is one coach, but when a group has MD, LD and Marathoners, elite and sub-elite, there will always be multiple coaches. Also, by contract, the athletes who are paying your salary get the lion share of a coaches time.

Adam was a horrible runner by the time he joined Alberto. He was awesome in 99, but by 2003-5, he was very bad and even switched to the 1500 (where he didn't make the USATF final). When he switched to Alberto he immediately became his old self and also got more competitive on an international level. Didn't he medal or come close to it at World Cross?
This front page is fake news and should be taken down. This post is steadily getting looks and post, which is not fair to the athlete and coach.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
