Hey all, hope training is going well -- I anticipate a lot of Fall marathon buildups kicking off/gaining momentum in the coming weeks.
My week:
Mon: 7m easy
Tue: Fartlek -- 1/2/3/2/1 (17mins total). Hit 5km on the dot -- 5:28avg (5:10-5:20hards and 5:50-6:00 on the easy)
Wed: 8m easy
Thu: 7m + strides
Fri: AM- 4m easy ... PM- 8x300m hill with WU/CD (10m total)
Sat: 7m easy
Sun: 11m steady avg 6:20 overall (7:30s cut down to 5:22 last mile)
Total: 58m
Couple of smaller workouts this week to kick things off and a decent long run at the end of the week. Want to add a lot more volume in the coming weeks, but a solid start nonetheless. I doubt I will be all that prepared for a great 15k in 5 weeks time, but I have some target races in October/November that are more of the focus.
