So I was reading that Matthew had been battling pericarditis. That's some serious stuff. He had some injuries too, but pericarditis is the most serious thing. You can't expect much when something like that is going on.

Constantly putting needles in your arm cannot be a good thing. Compare how many times you've been stuck with a needle in a lifetime to the number of times Centro and Rupp get stuck in a few months in a basement medical lab?
Alberto can't even show his face in public at the Worlds Championship of Track and Field. What's that telling you?
Bump. Where are the medical professionals weighing in on this?
Very rare. Injection drug use is the man risk factor.

And also I believe a dental infection.
The lack of LRC interest in a serious medical condition is enlightening.

Based on his instagram he might also have a brain infection or serious mental condition.
Doping isn't worth it. Not even if you win an Olympic gold medal.

Many Pros don't think like you. At least a big percentage of them, according to the Goldman Dilemma.

Good post. Thanks.
"Pericardial effusion is a collection of fluid in the pericardial sac. This fluid may be produced by inflammation.
The cause of pericarditis in most individuals is unknown but is likely due to viral infection. Pericarditis may be an associated complication of many diseases or may be due to trauma."
So I did some quick googling and this is what I found:
Centro has had pericarditis before. You would think it would be strange for a healthy olympian, but it seems that young healthy people can get it and it often recurs.
However, I also found that it can be caused by blood thinners like warfarin. Do people who take things like EPO also frequently take blood thinners to prevent clots?
That's endocarditis ya moron.

No, not hardly. Though a bacterial infection could potentially cause pericarditis, that would nkt bevst the top of the list. It results typically from viruses, autoimmune disease, or upper respiratory infections. ENDOcarditis results from dirty needles.- that's what you're trying to infer. Typically, right sided with staph aureus. Two completely different entities.
One of the markers for it is pain when yawning.
although you supply a solid answer, you're inability to use infer versus imply discredits you to some extent.

Help me out then. English is my 3rd language. I am Hungarian born, and schooled in Spain. I am a physician's assistant in Medford, Oregon. Teach me something. I'm certainly not above that. Incidentally, can you truly disqualify someone with the improper use of your/you're?
To the idiot who said injection drug use is a risk for pericarditis....close but no cigar. Injection drug use is a risk factor for ENDOcarditis. Much much more serious. And we r talking about dirty needles off the street that homeless bums use.

Well, confusing "infer" and "imply" is rather common and may be as frequent as the misuse of "begs the question." Your English is pretty good.
To help you out, the person making the statement may be IMPLYING something rather than explicitly stating it as a fact. The person listening or reading the statement could INFER certain conclusions based on deduction and reasoning.
