Did he run tactically horribly or was that just me? Not that it should it have mattered. You'd think he'd be able to kick it in but still.
It was a hard heat to run tactically sound. In the cold and rain, 66 second laps is something everyone could do, but 63-64 second laps to give yourself space, (while saving something for the final) was something no one could do. So there were a bunch of lead changes but nothing strung out. Knight stayed back the whole time and burned one match on the last lap, Jenkins wanted to maintain contact with the front and burned his matches in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th kilometers.
