The 2003 race was only 3 seconds faster and there is no doubt 2017 Mo would have out-kicked 2003 Bekele.

Not a chance.

cool.
The finish time was the same, not 3 seconds faster, but the last 5K was 12:57 and the last lap was 53 so no, Mo Farah would not have beaten him.
Mo already had to kick in this race. To improve on that he would have to out-kick his previous kick and there is no way he can make up 3 seconds on a 400m out-kick of an already kicked lap

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Thanks for the great laugh.
Also, the second 5k of the 2003 race was 12:57, and I dont think mo could have hung with that. Nobody, not even Geb, could hang with Bekele, and don't say Geb wasnt in good shape in 2003, he ran 26:29 that year. Mo definitely wouldn't have beaten bekele. Thats like saying Centrowitz could beat El G. It's completely laughable.
Dear Mods,
Please issue a temporary ban to the OP for his stupidity.

Mo and the lead pack would have had a huge lead and then Bekele would have launched an amazing solo comeback and reeled them in, nipping Mo at the line! That would be epic to see.

What was the last 1000m in that race?
Bekele's kick smokes Farah's kick,
Any day, yes, any day of the week.
It's a poem I wrote.
Farah can dream to kick like this.
Here Farah is even there- way way behind.
And here. 53 seconds last lap. Farah somewhere behind.
Great north run 2013
Mo would cover the 12:57, and then would be in position with 100m to go, and would have smoked KB. That's what he does. You guys are just haters.

Although you are not referring to his 2008 5k win, please watch that race. Bekele had much much more. He was close to WR shape that day. Recall, also, that this was after 10,000m, 5k rounds, in the Beijing heat... need I continue? He ran 60-61 until dropping a 53.8 after blowing beyond Kipchoge over the first bend. That race, to my mind, was one of his greatest ever as it demonstrated graphically his inhumanity. Seriously, watch the race. Here's a link for you:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtBPtksTW4Q-- there are others too if you want commentating. Regardless, I think Bekele could have run much faster had Mo been on his back... he would continue to increase the tempo to the point of unmanageability. Yes, speculation. But not unsupported. Enjoy and thank Bekele for that piece of artwork. Tata!

That turned cruel at 3000m. Last 2000m in 4:57. Lagat looked like he was experiencing a serious bout of WTF after the finish.
2017 PEDs > 2003 PEDs?
Here's the thing about Mo... he's a champion and only runs to win...
Because he's never run a rabbited time trial, it's easy for someone who is not astute to make assumptions about his overall fitness level.
But ultimately, Mo would cover anything Bekele could do up until the last 100m, and then would blow his doors off.
Do you really think that a 3:28 MF facing off against KB in the last 4 laps of a 5000m or 10000m would't be able to cover KB's moves?
Remember when Caleb N'Diku tried a 1:48 final 800m in the 5000m in Beijing? Mo covered it.
Remember when the Kenyans and Ugandans tried to team up on him in London 2017 and made him run a sub 26:60 to win? It did absolutely nothing to take the sting out of his last 100m.
There would simply be nothing KB could do.
It looks like Kenyans now can only talk about great dopers of the past - very soon they will go in Ethiopia for "altitude" training.
