Guaranteed Semenya and Rudisha will at least be in top 3.

To call in the 800 boring is absurd. The 800 is almost always the best event in track. For starters, it's amazing how many different ways you can run it. You can go out hard, go out slow, but you are likely to end up with a similar time.
It's also the race where tactics potentially have the biggest impact. This or the 1500.
One thing I wanted to add to the men's 800 was, "OH my God, imagine if Clayton Murphy was in this one." He'd be the #3 seed. It might be his best chance for gold. Strike before Emmanuel Korir gets tactical experience.
Such a shame he got hurt.

This ^
The only sub-plot is does Semenya totally sandbag the 1500m to "prove" she isn't totally dominate. Then use that as an excuse to kill the 800m for a WR. I am guessing that was the plan but I also think that her dominance has made her soft, and she isn't working hard which will make the 800m results predictably the same as always. She'll just have to dig a little bit deeper this time. But perhaps I am wrong and she will emboldened to get the record.

I agree. Boring.
Also, Niyonsaba's body doesn't look as masculine as Semenya's and Wambui's.
Do we have confirmed reports that she's intersex or are we just speculating?
David rudisha is not going to be at worlds. What a shakeup.

I think this opens the door to Amos, but I'm picking Bosse, just because I like his style.
I think the men's race is now wide open and exiting.
The women's? Which female will finish first?

I think her leaked TUE kinda confirmed she was taking the same medication as Semenya to control her testosterone.
Interestingly, during this period she was incredibly slow.
CAS lifted the ban and all of a sudden she dropped 10 seconds again.
All this talk about men... where's the women's review?
Now Rudisha is out, no excuse for not selecting Saruni. Otherwise if I was a Saruni I would start working on my Bahrain citizenship. Once you get on the wrong side of AK u generally stay there. They really have the ability to destroy careers.

Ahhh, I must have missed that part that she was taking a TUE. I had never read about that anywhere.
I think you are wrong.

In the fancy bears hack, a TUE for Niyonsaba was released. It indicated that she was taking Tibolone, a type of estrogen therapy.
