Are you coming around to our side?

I'm on nobodies side. I don't believe in her challenges, but I don't like people attacking her face or making accusations about the charity that they can't back up.
She has just blasted all of the pace shamers. 6:31/km. What a beast.
Moving time is the real metric.

No I meant you're a bunch of nobodies.

"And this is why I do what I do, thanks for this lovely message!
I Got myself in a bit of tizz last night for absolutely no reason! Sometimes I let my sensitivity get the better of me. After a good nights sleep and some sound advice this morning-I feel back on form. I didn't feel like running today, and someone said to me... "don't run then! Do what you want, have a day off if that's what you want. What advice would you give someone in my position?" and I would say..go out and enjoy your day! So that's what I'm doing! I'm leaving my bag at the hotel and exploring Palma with less weight and no stress. Like Dave said- go smash it and cover it in glitter! So the glitter is on(yes I packed glitter) the trainers are ready and I'm off out to discover something new."
Does this mean she isn't going to run at all today? What the hell?

It appears that she's mixing running with sightseeing.
1hr 30 of running (improved pace) in 3 hr moving time. So just casually exploring, running between places.
One thing that does not quite add up us that even if she didn't get the treadmill record that a considerable distance must have been chalked up. Then to struggle on this does not quite fit in.
To me she fits the profile of a corner cutter and someone who has no concept of time and distance as most experienced runners would understand. A bit like when I was running we'd go for a 10 miler and it might be 9 miles and might be 11 miles. But we were not going for records just training amongst ourselves
Especially on her 53 it started with good intentions. First the distance us completed. Then let's split the run into 2. Next in a bit tired and will make up the miles tomorrow.
Looks like she has not trained much for this and is unprepared for the heat which is actually pretty moderate as we've had a good summer here.
Of course this is not an attempt at a record but she does have a t-shirt shirt with 400 miles on it and lots of people blindly following her.

Apparently a 40 miler tomorrow according to her twitter, hmmmmm.

She's still recording her runs on her iphone and not uploading from her watch. The perfect "Phone run out of battery" excuse is already lined up i'm sure.
Why not use that brand new Garmin? I have one like that. About 16hrs of battery life in GPS mode. Can also charge on the go. Luckily the sponsors supplied charging packs

I agree with you that we shouldn't call it fraud until we can prove it. And it seems that some people are mixing two different kinds of fraud with very different burdens of proof.
From the perspective of her running, most of us here are comfortable calling her a fraud because, well, she is one. Her documented accomplishments of the past few days make abundantly clear that she could not possibly have run 26 miles, 385 yards a day for 53 days. Nor could she have completed the treadmill miles in one week that she claims. Of course it's difficult to prove a negative but there's no way this woman completed those feats of ultramarathoning/endurance running.
Legally she may also be a fraud, but I don't think anyone's presented evidence to that effect. If she's receiving donations and is taking money from them to support herself and her boyfriend, then she may find herself in legal trouble and it appears that people are trying to alert the authorities to see if she can be scrutinized. The fact that she appears to be lying about her running doesn't increase one's confidence that any charitable pursuits are on the up and up.

What if she rode her unicorn on some of the 53 marathons to give her world class ultra legs a rest.
The reason why so many set up these dodgy charities is because they legally CAN draw expenses. So of course they are.
Now if you are genuine and really care about your cause and there are genuine expenses, then fine.
A "saving the bats" charity would need expenses to drive to collect injured bats and make bat houses etc
But she got donations to her "charity" based on lies. That is fraud.
It's not fraud until you prove she's taken any money. You're guessing.

Sounds great.
We will follow her along.
I bet something will happen and she will cut it short after 19 miles. Maaaybe 20.
