These threads do go on far too long with lots of repetition, but it does seem to be somewhat fuelled by either trolls or the supporters of the cheaters.
This is letsrun.
Trolls greatly outnumber supporters.
So after hitting 1000 (one thousand) posts, we should review the FACTS.
FACT: Women (sic) [Amy] runs 520 miles on treadmill in 7 days
OPINION: Guinness says her witness doesn't count (doesn't get WR)
We are all free to come to a different conclusion, based on our own impressions.

Tell you what, why not start a petition to have me declared not British?

Why? You're already not British.

Fine with me.
I'm happy to wait for the analysis of the youtube video/s by SW.
Millet sports only rates 3.3/10 but I rate Amy 7/10 on her ability to become a good multi-day ultra runner just from looking at that one youtube video. If I were to rate her ultra running ability just from her mud run training video it would be 2/10. IMHO Amy has far more multi-day ultra running ability than Rob Young.
this. exactly this.
its not about the WR its all about public perception.
it worked for her 53 marathons. you wont find that "world record" verified or ratified by anyone other than Amy herself and yet she has managed to create a profile, career and charity around it.
all the faux outrage about Guinness is a very clever publicity stunt and LetsRun has done nothing but help promote it.
sure, no runner in their right mind believes her but there are still so many other people out there for her to exploit.

Thanks for providing those ratings. You get 2/10.

Lolz
"I strenuously object"
I think a vote is the best way to decide it. This is how it is done in video games.
How it works:
1. Post your score
2. Prove it by posting a photo or video
3. Users will vote on whether they think your score is legit
Voting process
High Score's other users will review the evidence you submitted with your score to make their decision on whether or not your score is legit, and will cast their votes based on that.
You can also invite your friends to join High Score to vote on your score.
Right now, you need a minimum of 25 votes before your score will be accepted, and you will need at least 80 percent of those votes to be "Yes". Voting will continue until both of those criteria are met, and your score will not be considered legit until then.
Amy has way more than 25 votes! So it's only the 20% haters superminority who is impeding her?
http://www.highscore.com/This whole thread is just typical Let's Run #cyberbullying
#trainforitdonttrollit
This thread has fizzled. Looks like Amy has ended up winning in the court of public opinion.

The problem with this inane hashtag is that we have heard from his driver that the genius who came up with it didn't do anything remotely like training himself.
Asking for evidence for claims is not bullying, anyone who would think that is someone who has no evidence so chooses to hide behind bluster.
Since we now know that Amy Hughes didn't run 53 marathons in 53 days and didn't do her 521 mile treadmill run we should have a look at her boyfriend and prime Guinness witness Dave Keighley.
An anonymous researcher found the following on LinkedIn
Royal Marines
Jan 1998 – Jan 2005 7 yrs 1 mo
Various global deployments
Operational deployments to Iraq, Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland and Afghanistan
Trained and operated alongside the Special Boat Service
Delivering training for the recruit troop through their 9 month basic training course
Instructor at the live firing ranges
Led 8 man teams during various tasks
We are now up to page 52. Just one more to go and it will be Amy's lucky #53!
Then I expect the LRC tide to turn, and the cyberbullies will give way to fact-based information like Amy's new record.
At least until page 521 wrote:

What record?
There never was a record and there never will be a record.
You can make up a lot of stuff but that does not lead to a record.
Amy who? wrote:

I agree, Page 52 is certainly not an LRC record.
