I have to wonder if Wejo would've even bothered trying to dismiss the source if it only had the hated Kenyans in it and not included the golden boy of US distance running. Extremely difficult to exonerate one person whilst condemning others for appearing on the exact same list especially given that it is Evan Jager (like Mo Farah and Galen Rupp) who has been tagged as "likely doping" unlike the other big names currently competing - Asbel Kiprop, Mary Keitany, Sifan Hassan- who only have one reading of "suspicious". One is a conclusive accusation while the other requires further data.
Having said that, it is quite clear the motive of this leak is to tarnish athletes from other countries and make them appear as bad as the Russians. I happen to be a big Evan Jager fan and don't believe he's a doper. That the IAAF didn't sanction anyone on the list means they were probably cleared. But the blatant double standards displayed in reaction to this (admittedly dubious) leak is embarrassing - hypocritical even. Worse still because this is from a guy not averse to throwing out blanket accusations (see his "doping camp" piece on Sumgong implicating everyone that's lived or trained near her including the unaccused Stanley Biwott). Unfair.
Again, the question, how would you react if Jager hadn't been on the list?
