I was there. With 4 other people in attendance.

Remember when Robby Andrews looked like the American second coming of Coe? What a waste.
-
Last I looked neither Gregorek nor O'Hare entered the 800 at Nats

Wondering if it's possible Andrews might've been running this more as a workout. -

exactly, just a short burst effort for he and all the milers to get the legs turning over.
on another note, good result for Monmouth's Dylan Capwell who I've only seen in a few meets here and there.
interesting for Haverford standout Charlie Marquardt who ran 3:39 at Swarthmore this year -
i thought it was great. Charlene looked like she's got much more in the tank

Possibly...I was there and all of the NJNY guys plus Chris O'Hare were doing a workout after the 800. Looked like they were doing a bunch of 200s. That was a fun meet to go and watch. Didn't see Robby doing that but he was jogging on the infield with his dad for a while afterwards. -

Maybe because O'Hare is British? -

Yeah I know he is a Scott-- these brain farts are happening all too often and make me think I'm developing Old Timers Disease. -

Waste? You do realize you are talking about a real human.
He made the Olympics - and would have made the Olympic final if he hadn't been DQd last year. So get back to me when you are one of the 12 best in th world at anything.
He's slowly coming along this year. He's got a monster kick and should be in the hunt. With Murphy doubling, it's harder to make the team this year but tell me besides Centro who you know will beat him?
Basically, it's Centro and then a bunch of guys with a shot. And normally the talent rises up to the top. The Will Leer's/Merbers/ Gregorek's of the world normally lose out to the Wheatings/Andrews of the worlds. -

even though the poster you are responding to made his point in a bad way, he is also stating what the expectations were for Andrews when he was in HS/college. He never exhibited Coe's speed, yet at least some thought he'd make more of a splash. His PR is closer to 1:45.00 than 1:44.00. I hope he is a late bloomer.
