Thanks. The next time someone disputes the fact that LRC is a cesspool of racism and ignorance, I'll gently steer them over to this thread.

Greyhound is a breed of dog. That means it was inbred for many generations to isolate a very specific phenotype. That doesn't happen with people, except apparently you, the idiot breed.
Well it actually does when you have what are called "tribes" moran. That's why Manute Bols tribe has the same phenotype for example.
Africans come from tribes, moran(repeated for emphasis)
That's why the Caster problem is rather prevalent in Bantu tribes.
This is a crap article. There's so much missing information and a limited data set of players who die. Heart issues can be structural, electric or acquired over time. Four people died in 20 years (according to the article) and it's a tragedy, but without any real information, we're left guessing.

Yep, still living a glorified stone age culture even with iron.
There is a training method done by pro basketball players. There is a training method done by pro football players. There is a training method done by sprinters. I won't state it. I laugh when I read statements that sprinters are lazy. When elite basketball players/Am. football players/sprinters go home after practice they do additional training. It is easier for some slower whites to blame their parents (blaming poor genes) than it is for some slower whites to put in the proper hard work to jump high and run fast.

Idiotic statement.
1. "Africa" is a huge and highly varied continent.
2. Saying "Stone Age culture with iron" is like saying "Iron-Age culture with microchips."
If you haven't noticed the OBVIOUS physical differences between Nigerians and Kenyans or Fhilipinos vs Samoans, I can't help ya.
Wesrern African's possess unique physical attribudes that give then an advantage n anything having to do with speed, quicks, agility.
Why do you think all those speedy, elusive RB's are black?

So is that explosivness tied to having big butts? Look at any top sprinter, RB, or athletic basketball player. They will 9/10 have a massive dump truck. White people just aren't built like that generally.
How big was Jonathan Edwards and Sergey Bubka's backside?

^^^ that is rubbish, nobody is "built," they develop based on their environment. Euro and US whites are mostly wealthier and sit around on couches, cars, and in school and desk jobs, sedentary almost from birth.
The cultural exception to "weak" US whites is found in the never-ending stream of Mormon athletes from Utah, who have similar genetics to the other whites but are about 100 times as successful at sports because their religion forbids them the bad habits that make the others slow and weak.
As for soccer players, their sport isn't strenuous enough to be a serious cardiac risk. Basketball, maybe. But if any of the articles sloppy reasoning were founded in truth, the same effect would be seen in track, and it's not.
Do you also believe that there are no genetic differences between men and women? If Merlene Ottey had been brought up EXACTLY as Usain Bolt, same nutrition, training, PEDs, that she would run 9.5 seconds, and to believe otherwise is 'sexist'?

Would use of steroids accelerate hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?

Sure, but the African cultures that produce runners are largely glorified stone age cultures.
You have to do more with the metal than just produce the same pointy weapons with steel replacing the stone.

In other words, a black player is about six times more likely to die than a white player, though the chances are still very small."
6 more times likely to die of sudden cardiac arrest, and probably 6 more times likely to be doping.
RIP Tiote.
This is a big loss for one of the continents most accomplished athletes having won the AFCON title with Cote d'Ivoire in 2015. He had a very successful stint with Newcastle United.
As for the issue at hand, I doubt that there is any hard truth (or data) to the fact that Africans are more likely to die as compared to others. It's perhaps just coincidental.
Africans are distance runners and we have very few deaths as a result. The questin then is, if running (which is more strenuous doesn't kill them more than others, why would football do just the opposite)?
That study makes no sense.
West African footballers, East African runners.
Apples and Oranges
I often wonder why , if so many rugby players from Europe claim they are tougher than NFL players, and better, than why have we not seen at least one come here, play in the NFL and dominate?

The NBA is about 80-85% African-American. The last incidence of this type in that league was over 20 years ago and occurred w/ a known cocaine addict (Reggie Lewis). Such incidences are also rare in the NFL, despite the size and obvious PED intake of those athletes. Such incidences in T&F are rare despite the dominance of African-Americans, Caribbean blacks and black Africans; again, I can't remember the last such occurrence at the professional level.
If the findings are to be believed, it has more to do with whatever these African footballers are either putting in to their bodies or some sort of environmental hazard that they are particularly prone to.

It's probably parasites from childhood.
Doesn't the Sports Gene touch on this subject? Something about those of West African roots having to adapt to fight malaria causing them to have bodies that don't handle hemoglobin well or something like that?
They prefer rugby? Just a guess on my part.... but hey.
The younger brother of Steve Cram died suddenly whilst out jogging a few years ago. Although he wasn't a competitive athlete, he was a fitness fanatic.
