Trust me, as a Brentwood resident, I personally paid more than my fair share of property taxes (and personally donated enough of BHS poles and track equipment) to justify any time spent there by my sons. Same with Coach Davies, who volunteered many hours of his time at BHS track while also helping as a BA coach over many years. Careful on spouting off on what you think you know... Second, if you think private coaches are an issue, then you mind as well start getting on private trainers in all sports like Basketball (many BHS boys/girls trained at Ensworth by the way), Football (which, yes we do train yalls kickers and many others that come over to train with Ramsey’s dad and others). Think BA doesn’t allow BHS distance runners on our facilities over the years? I can assure you I have seen them more than once. As for Gary, I am not even going to comment. He is his own man, and BHS is fortunate to have him (and his family) around their facilities in whatever capacity they can. Arguably the best at what he does anywhere- he does what he does out of loyalty to many at that school- whether they deserve it or not. Also, if you knew what BHS ever even paid Coach Kinder, you wouldn’t even be talking. Anyhow, we look like fools talking local business on a national board. Give me a shout, and look me up on LinkedIn- we will have lunch in Brentwood. Cheers! Oh, since this thread has Hasty’s Name on it- I would be remiss if I didn’t say (again)...keep killing it young man and all your teammates that pursue excellence however they can get it. If the public school system limits your ability to get your college future lined out- then there are many ways in USATF and AAU to get the recognition and performance times needed.
