Why on earth is the steeplechase slow (tactical????)???
Did anyone get the 1k time?
They said Allie is small but has the heart of a lion.... sounds familiar lol
Her and the Colorado runner look good so far.

Because nobody is significantly the class of the field. Playing out good for Allie O as she won't be as wiped out for the 5k

Allie taking it out, Purrier right there 2 laps to go
Allie pushing the pace now.
Allie O has no kick, she will lose. She lost to Alice Wright at mountain west 5k, and Wright cannot kick either.
Ostrander too short for hurdles, comes to a stop every time.

Not sure which is worse, the poor coverage, or terribly slow "racing."
I'm on a plane so am following it via this thread and the live results. When I saw that the winner went from last at the bell to first at the finish in a tactical race, I thought just the opposite. I thought "Wow what a fun race." When is the last time someone pulled that off??
Coaches always say you have to be in position in a slow race. I guess not.
Truly amazing to pull that off.
61.62 last lap!!
Who cares what the time is? Do you get upset if your NFL team doesn't set an all-time points record when they win teh Super Bowl?
And is it fair to call that race a 'jog fest'. The winning time was 413. Maybe like 1 or 2 peole in the field has ever broken 4:10.

Great battle, but Allie crushed last 250, she should have chilled the last 100 had it by a mile, has the 5K in 2 hours
The new queen of steeple!
Both of Purrier's shoes are untied !

WRONG
Allie gapped them AND kicked to win! 9:41
for 2nd... 3rd... 4th that they didn't even show!!!!
Not one but BOTH of Purriers shoes were untied. Really?!
I was wrong. Allie looked very strong. Purrier had a hell of a time over the last few barriers.
Purrier needs to learn how to tie her shoes. It looked like they both came untied and started tripping her up.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
