I know this is kind of sitting on the fence, but I think Paula is the best "runner" given her records and her range (XC, track, roads), but I think Catherine is the best "racer". She always has a plan and sticks with it, even if it means falling behind early, but then again she is an incredible closer. Ndereba is also solid in championship-level races, too.
So if I have a friend who is also a great racer, never deviating from her plan, always tackling tough courses, always outkicking her peers, blah blah blah, but only runs 2:35, does that make her better than both Radcliffe and Ndereba?
Anyone who thinks Ndereba is better than Radcliffe is high. Stop masturbating to the Olympic rings and take a hard look at the _complete_ resumes of each woman. Radcliffe's "problem" is that when she's on, she wins by so f***in much that people dismiss her as a time trialer. Well she wouldn't be alone in front so often if the other women could keep the f*** up! Ndereba ran the race of her life in 2003 in London and got torched by a klick!
No contest, here.
