Awesome! Hilarious that his kids don't have a father now! Elephants are more important than people!
Don't have much sympathy for him, honestly

He has competition from one of his own mates:
"Botha’s death comes just weeks after one of his friends was killed by crocodiles during a hunting expedition in Zimbabwe. Scott Van Zyl, 44, was with a local tracker and a pack of hunting dogs when he disappeared in mid-April. A week later, his remains were found in the carcass of a crocodile shot and killed by local authorities, the BBC reported."
Also in the running: Ueli Steck.
Karma's a bitch.

They are talking about the elephant, right?

Is it also hilarious that the elephant's kids don't have a parent now either? Elephants and people are of equal importance. Life is life.
Good for the elephant. Too bad this doesn't happen to every "big game hunter."

Since I am a Person of Faith, I'm going with Divine Intervention. This is some Old Testament sh*t. Just page through the Old Testament and see how many people God decides to smite. Like more than 100.

If that's actually your philosophy you shouldn't celebrate the loss of any life, no matter the reason.

And carrots. Don't forget the carrots.
So despite not having a gun the elephant won.

Sounds like a tie.
There are way too many elephants in some areas. Somebody has to shoot them. It's much better that a rich person pays big money for shooting one than making the African gubmints pay someone to do it.
Yes, you are all idiots.

Is your opinion that I should be able to kill anything that is less important than me, and that it is a tragedy if I am harmed in that act?
If your entire life revolves around killing things of beauty just to watch them die, I don't have much sympathy, even if you are "more important" than the things you are destroying.
The only sad part is the elephant herd didn't take the hunter's body and parade it around as their own trophy. You know that the elephant's head would have ended up on this pampered a-hole's wall, and the tusk be sold to other elitist scum. Glad to see that that wall will now have a blank spot. lol
The family should hang the hunter's death certificate in its place.
"Mommy, what did daddy die from?" "Stupidity and greed, son."
There's an elephant in this room but I can't seem to find it.

Elephant hunting is legal and a legitimate way to earn a living.
Disagree with it all you want, but celebrating his death is crass and unbecoming. He left a family behind.
And yea, I'll go out on a limb and say humans are more important than animals. If you drove past a dead person in the road you'd probably stop - you probably don't stop for dead deer and squirrels.
