Pretty cool.
It's a temporary pop-up venue.
"The 200 meter-track, which takes the form of a figure-eight, is lined with LED screens, where up to 30 runners can take part in a virtual race against themselves."

That's not a figure 8. It's a shoe print.

I bet you have put on some form of social media #NotNyPresident
I saw an article about an LED basketball court a while back. Went into how it could change how practices were conducted and such. Much less the entertainment between playtime during games.

That's not a figure 8. It's a space station.
It's pretty cool I think. I like the hill cross over each lap.
Imagine running on this on LSD.

White Trump voters are more educated than white Hillary voters.
And we're pretty much all white here.

I'm curious how they felt it would change practice?
For contrast, many of the NHL rinks have been LED floors for some time, and as far as I know, they don't use that feature in practice.

Learning plays, by following where players should be on the court at any point in a play. Or being able to see how another team ran through their rotations, right on the court as opposed to in video sessions. There were examples of programs to individualize training points.

So, you are teaching them to look at the floor instead of the opponent.
You are not teaching the to react to the players on the court, either offensively or defensively.
Not on social media.
But hey, have you finally realized that it could be both a figure 8 and a show print? Good job, if so. I'm proud.
It is a neato promotional gimmick. Way too expensive to be actually used for anything but a shoe sale promotion. In addition, it has zero practical use for a competitive runner. The turns are tight, the hill is too steep for intervals, and it a serious runner really interested in chasing around a silly LED picture?

That's awesome. I've been dreaming of building something like that for 10 years and to find that it's in my homeland!
I know it's a gimmick, but I'm glad the idea is out there in practice.
also not true, did you even read the article... you def voted for Trump
"Among white voters in the current election, college graduates support Clinton over Trump by a 14-point margin (47% Clinton vs. 33% Trump), while those without college degrees back Trump over Clinton by an even larger 25-point margin (51% Trump vs. 26% Clinton), according to the Center’s survey conducted Aug. 9-16."
