Why would you assume I'm overweight? That's rude for someone you've never met. Also you should learn the difference between lose and loose.

You'll want to get a couple of long runs in them before the race, so you don't have enough time.
You could just follow the lead of the Speaker of the House, and lie about your time in that marathon.
Yes, buy them and leave all these other loosers in your dust! They may be pricey, but glory last forever! carpe diem!
What if you got the shoes before training, when only capable of a 8 hour marathon, but then got in 4 hour shape? Would you get the 4% boost on an 8 hour time, but be in 4 hour shape? 4% of 8 hours is 19 minutes, 4 hours - 19 minutes is 3:41. That's a pretty solid time.
Thanks for being a straight shooter! Appreciate the feedback.

Agreed!
If a troll falls on LRC, and you take it seriously, does it make a sound?
Seeing as you're going all out, you might want to check with Apple/Camelback/Oakley to see if have lightweight accessories, you might need an upgrade. Money spent = weight saved = time saved. Between this, your VaporFlys and possibly a lighter pair of compression tights (full leg, natch!), you've got a sub 3:55 in you.
When it's all said and done, you'll have earned a second "26.2" tattoo on your calf.
Go get 'em!
Save your money. Try the cheaper Nike Abebe Bekela model instead - you'll swear you're not wearing shoes at all!
If you ever plan to run an African marathon, I'd suggest the Nike Zoom TseTse Fly 4% shoes.
I heard they're weird shoes and takes some getting used to so these are a pair that you MUST break into with a long run. Even if the first 5~10 miles seem faster, you won't know how you feel like towards mile 20. You're feet might be hurting and you might not be able to finish.
I would stick with the shoes you were planning to wear before considering the 4%'s.
Maybe your Breaking4 attempt with the Vaporfly 4% can be at another marathon after you've actually broken into them!

This right here made clicking on your otherwise lame troll attempt worth it. Thank you.

This may be true, but the timing just seems so perfect to be really really tempting!

I think the fact that Abebe Bikila broke his barefoot world record by over 3 minutes whilst wearing a pair of Pumas proves my point, not yours. I'm more tempted than ever!

I'm happy to have inspired you. We should all try to be the fastest version of ourselves.

I know you're 'trolling' me, but I was unaware of Apple running accessories? What are you referring to? Or do you just mean the Apple Watch? I prefer my Garmin Forerunner 935 for running. More data is good data!
It's tempting, I get it, I would feel the same. But it's probably not worth it. If I HAD to choose between a streak 6 or vaporfly 4% to run in a marathon that is about a week away, I would choose the streak 6. I feel like my feet will break into those shoes better than the 4%'s.

The streak 6 is only an $80 shoe on nike.com and has a 2.9 star rating. No way those shoes would be better than the 4%'s. I'll pass.
No idea of your authenticity, Ron, hence the absurdity of my post. My Apple reference was to you strapping your smartphone to your arm, headphones jiggling about whilst running. If you're even half-serious go buy some cushioned flats (Lunaracer, Adios, DS-Racer?) for the price you'd pay for the Vapors, see what works in the next few weeks and go from there. Whilst your choices of gear imply you being a man of means, dollars =/= sense. Four hours on your feet is a long time, look after yourself.Again, good luck with the quest, regardless of whether you're serious or not with the original post.

I meant if I had to choose a shoe to break into with a week I would choose the streak 6.
Plus, even if you don't break 4hrs, people will looking at your shoes pre and post race thinking "what a freaking poser."
