I interpret it as des has been consistently producing solid results at Boston for many years.

Desi does deserve credit for her consistency, as does Shalane.

I find it strange when former ducks like biwott aren't picked up by Nike.

Kevin has been blind when it comes to the faults of Desi. Ask anyone that has been part of the team. Kevin thinks she walks on water.

Striaght out of college he did run for Nike. Then asics. Now Brooks.

He is not with Nike because he is not good enough. They have Rupp and a bunch of Kenyans that are much faster.

Brooks Hansons will always be second tier.

Same thing with Linden. Not as good as Cragg at the trials, not as good as Flanagan at the Olympics and not as good as Hasay at Boston.

Meanwhile Hanson will continue to tweet how great she is. Whatever dude.

I said ask her teammates. She needs to be the center of attention and Kevin helps her with that. They have turned down top athletes if Desi does not approve. It is kind of sad but I guess it works for her.

Until Cragg bests Desi's PR or places on the podium at Boston or a major she isn't even in the same conversation for top US female marathoners. Hasay still needs to make 1 Olympic team much less 2.

The tweet just makes me think Joanie was doing this 30 years ago and we really haven't got much better.

Joanie has talent and toughness, that is why she ran those times and is still running great today.

Another runner from that era who had talent and tremendous toughness was Patti (Catalano) Dillon. Few US woman are better than her today.

This thread is about Shamrock, best of luck to him in future races, he gave a nice interview after Boston.
