Familiarize yourself with the triangle theory. This is the 2/3 theory. Which means you may get two out of the three corners of the triangle, but not all.
The triangle is
1. Intelligence
2. Physical attraction
3. Good spirit (good attitude)
Assuming you want a partner with all three of these, the law of averages says you will be lucky to get two out of the three. If you find a partner who is smart and beautiful, she (or he if your the woman) will be a total POS of a personality. If she/he is a great personality and smart, won't be too good looking. Good looking and great attitude, but dumber than a box of rocks.
Finding 3/3 is rare and those people are usually out of your league. 1/3 is most common, 0/3 are out there too if you're into being miserable.
This is similar to the food theory. In food service there is
1. Fast
2. Good
3. Cheap
If you get fast and good it will be costly. Fast and cheap and it will be dogfood. Cheap and good is out there, but the demand is so high it will be a long wait.
