Yes, it's clear that you'd rather talk about anything but what's patently obvious.
WHATEVER
It's absurd how easy it is to get any drug into Kenya or Ethiopia. Everyone is doping, but no one can get away with it as easy as the East Africans. End of story
I like Italians, especially doctors, You see "the greatest athlete of all time" Lance - the fu@cing - Armstrong - on which many of ... regularly jerked off before he was introduced to "Il mito" tried 4 times on TdF... 3 times quit and 1 time he was 36th if I remember correctly and then there was a Italian doctor... who made FERRARI from old GM and the rest is history.
So "the greatest" is actually fu@cking nobody without chemicals - the same as all of those African cheaters with their doctors etc - ALL OF THEM TILL THE LAST ONE - except 30-40 years ago in time of CLEAN GOAT and emperor - HENRY RONO.
As a kid I believed in Santa Claus, well not anymore - please don't tell this to anyone.
Then there are CLOWNS here claiming EPO is not working - of course that it is not working - just check increase in average speed on TdF from 1990-2006. That increase is just because they reinvented wheel, isn't it? etc etc...
Then READ the fu@king books of all TdF dopers which are published in this century and then claim EPO is not working.
Every one of them swore in EPO and transfusions...
Yes I know you just need to train "HARD" maybe just like that UK lady which is mentioned here very often - remember how all her male training partners said that she was very HARD about training. Just as some recent wonder woman from the same part of the world - also VERY HARD - but problem is not training HARD but to recover from it... day after day of HARD (chemically enhanced) training.
Sorry Lance I'am not a dreamer anymore...
One more thing - how much winner gets at Boston or New York?
Well there are exactly so many reasons to take a risks and bring all that money to Your team managers, doctors and coaches - I just wonder how they split that money - how much pimps take and how much prostitutes get?
I'm sure that rewards are much bigger then on Giro d'Italia and consequences are negligible compared to such a thing in Italy nowdays - so You just need to go somewhere else - I suggest go to Kenya or Ethiopia (be careful here Geb wants to throw You in jail!)
It is all just coincidence as someone often write here.

I take it back, didn't read the stat properly :/

And also they are much better runners than white people.

When they dope and whites don't, yes.
It's obvious this is a thread asking for statistics.

I wouldn't turn a thread about statistics into a doping thread. I would love to talk purely statistics. I guess you fear that I might point out the reality of the existence of Irish and Dutch coaches in East Africa. Or that Italian athletes also have access to Italian coaches, doctors, and pharma companies. I can't imagine that there exists a single statistic about doping that distinguishes East Africans from all others, that could also be described as "best captures the complete dominance".
2) On five occasions (before 2002), 1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, and 1996, the finishes of the top six Kenyans would have beaten a "world" team composed of the top six finishes from the rest of the world combined.
Good to see you're still alive and kicking. Interestingly, the Kenyan/East African dominance started about the same still as your favourite substance became available. You know.........EPO.
If Italian coaches and agents are so great, why aren't there any elite Italians?

uhhhhh, too much testing in Italy?
Well there were Italian dominance in late 80s, just a shy before EPO kicks in or they were ahead of the rest and started first?
Today it is VERY serious offense in Italy but in Africa?
Take a look on this - what a joke - just run across it.

All family in the businesses?
I like very much when old farts for example 40 years old run 100m in 9.93s that is all natural of course, now we have 38 old cyclist who beats pro riders, natural of course, we have girl run 10.41s - 30 years ago and still today no one is even close to that, all HARD working talents, not to mention throwers from east Europe, then Jarmila, Marita all of then made a tremendous improvement in their late 20s when you MUST decline naturally - speedwise.
So next time you participate in marathon go for under 2hrs because you still can walk and just maybe you can do it, just train HARD and it will come - stress fractures.
Now I like that people believe in dreams, progress, peace, love, and all of that stuff BUT being in war for years I lost that and I saw a uglier face of human beings - we are destroyers on everything we touch , we cheat, we stole, we...... whatever.
Sorry to be such a pessimist.

It's all about what up topside.
Kenyan's what?
Oh my gosh...
The best single statistic hasn't happened yet - but it is about to. On March 26 in Kampala, at the World XC Champs, a record number of East Africans (namely Kenyans) will pour across the finish line in the top 25 (men's race). You think the recent Euro Champs XC was a farce? This ridiculous charade will amount to nothing less that a glorified Kenyan Championships meet.
The top 45 fastest marathoners of all time are all East African.
Within the top 100, 94 are East African-born. The others are North African-born, with the exception of 1 Brazilian, 1 American, and 1 Japanese.
Within the top 250, 214 are East African-born.
Any other questions?

I agree, the sheer numbers of Kenyans representing countries like Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey and USA are about to make things interesting. But how do you stop Yasmin Can while allowing Paul Chelimo without looking hypocritical?
Not to derail the thread, but I'd just like to point out that being Kenyan on Letsrun feels like a black person that accidentally wandered into a Klan rally or, for those who can't relate, a vampire in church. It's better to lurk than post. I appreciate that American sports fandom is extremely adversarial hence movies like "Miracle on Ice" that purport to show to show a battle between good (Americans) and evil (Soviets) so presumably, being the dominant distance running country makes Kenyans villains by default. So can we expect an Alberto Salazar biopic in the future?
If every east African man's five fastest marathon times were dropped, the world record would still be held by an east African.

It's not fair to lump rekrunner in with these guys. He's just a skeptic and does back up his assertions with reasoning and evidence.
