Did anyone get the splits for the women's mpsf DMR?
Scholl 324
Jones 431-432
Difficult to tell for Mann and Hurta because of flotrack camera not being on them
So with ACC, Bg East, Conference USA, MPSF and Mountain West done is Georgetown in ? Any other potential qualifying race anywhere?
SEC? LSU trying to regain its spot?
Just want to throw this out there, but VT now has two DMR's in the top 12 of the NCAA (top 12 qualifies for nationals). The catch? They ran each DMR with an entirely different squad.
10 Virginia Tech (C) 9:31.05 Jaskowak, Thomas, Cianfarini, Gourley ACC Championships 02/23/17 02/25/17
12 Virginia Tech (A) 9:31.15 Piazza, Chiles, Joseph, Ciattei Music City Challenge 02/10/17 02/11/17
Could they theoretically race both DMR's at nationals? Or is there a NCAA rule against that?

to not real easy to do,
you are a joke. you are either a 4:40 miler on new mexico or you're a parent of one of the dudes on the relay. you're obviously lacking in other areas of your life so you feel the need to call people out on lets run
First of all, who said anything about what new mexico did being easy? not me. i'm sure they ran hard. that doesn't mean they deserve a 8 second cushion or deserve to compete at NCAA's
Second of all, you should wake up, they didn't run 9:30, they ran 9:38.83. Like i said, complete BS conversion. They could in no way run 9:30 at sea level. If they could have, they would have gone to a meet at sea level and at least attempted to do so.
You think you're so smart trying to pick apart what people said but you're just making things up, stop trying so hard dude.
New mexico with the 25 year old anchor(typical for their shady program) is gonna get run train on at nationals just wait. You're in denial bro. They hid all season from real competition in the dmr and were sneaky and got the weak weak conversion.
Next time you try and call someone out, at least try to put up a fight
Can't declare more than one relay for NCAA's, even if all 4 relay members are different on the qualifying relay.
I cannot say whether the 8 seconds are BS or not. What we can probably agree on is that running on altitude will slow you down. 8 seconds is the statistically worked out conversion, so unless you can prove the contrary, let's just assume that 8 seconds is legitimate.
I don't see an issue with schools doing everything they can (by the rules) to get a qualifier. I believe that was in their conference meet, so they would not have been able to go anywhere else that weekend regardless.
And for some more FACTS, the age of the New Mexico anchor (if the TFRRS lineup is accurate), Josh Kerr, is 19 (source:
http://www.all-athletics.com/node/675887
). Nothing shady here, move on.
Thanks Weak Bro for clarifying. Yes, Josh Kerr is actually 19, and a true sophomore. And the other three are a 5th year senior, a junior, and a froshie.
To 12345678: You are like all pencil neck geeks that come on here and try to make yourself important by raising a question when there is none. As someone who actually does research on altitude conversions and the challenges of running at altitude we might be able to intelligently discuss whether the magnitude of the altitude conversions are accurate, but not that there should be altitude conversions. If you knew anything about basic physiology which clearly you must not, you would have to accept it is not easy trying to run fast at altitude.
Please go back to your mommas basement where you live and watch reruns of some cartoons.
12345678:
It is people like you who really diminish this website. I actually did assist the NCAA to develop appropriate altitude standards. They are not perfect, but we knew that. But racing at altitude is difficult and we should accept and appreciate that. For you to claim that a college group of four men aren't capable of running a certain time is just foolish, that somehow they only are getting in due to a conversion instead of talent is plain wrong. Here is what I know about the New Mexico team. They lead off with a 3:42/1:49 runner (sea level times), go to a sub 47 man, have a 1:49 800 leg (sea level times), then an anchor that has run at sea level 3:41. Certainly that group is capable of running 9:30 at sea level or any other level. We should all appreciate athletic excellence, instead of always trying to diminish it as somehow "tainted".
Ok so my problem isn't with the altitude conversion for the DMR... it is much more so with the flat 200m track conversion which is complete and utter bullshit. Discuss
to college/DI coaches,
you are fools who voted for hillary. you work as coaches. you make little money. you are afraid to let go of the sport so you stick around and pretend to coach. please please please tell us if any of your runners have run something worthwhile ever. I'm sure you work at a running store to make ends meet and if they have wifi there go ahead and tell me go to back to my mom's basement. its a little funny how you two are hiding behind your computers but claiming I'm some idiot. which jr college do you h0m0s coach for?
enjoy your weekend, enjoy being a worthless lower class coach who has an ugly wife and pretends like he knows running because he read once a runner.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
