Can you name an entertainer or athlete, that remained popular after retiring from what made them famous?
Haven't you seen the George Foreman grill commercial?
How about Frank Thomas and his test boost product?
Both Nicklaus and Palmer stayed relevant way after their "competitive" career was over.
OJ was popular until... you know when.
And then, of course, there is Michael Jordan.
Many retired athletes made fortune after retirement with endorsement.
Those aren't the same things. A lot of people don't even know Foreman used to be a boxer and he's successful because he comes across as being an extremely likeable guy.
Are you talking about Frank Thomas the baseball player and what the hell is a test boost product?
Designing golf courses did not get Nicklaus in the sports pages or on T.V. and the only time I've seen his name in the last several years was when he came out in support of Trump.
Jordan has been replaced by LeBron James and others and he is no longer even a NBA star. Maybe I still see him in a commercial, but I have no idea what his other endeavors are and don't care.
The issue with Trump is whether he can retain his influence and not if he can make a fortune with product endorsements.
