Cruz received a law degree from Harvard so he's either joking or trying to steal some voters from Trump's base. Other people have said the same thing. Either way, it's irritating.
Those degrees are as good as the people who hold them. Some of the least competent teachers I work with have advanced degrees in education. In fact, the one I consider the worst teacher in my school has 2 undergrad degrees, a masters degree and is licensed to teach in multiple areas. She shouldn't be anywhere near a classroom.
Doesn't mean this applies to Cruz. Just think he has become a sleazy politician.
Just about anyone that posts on LR knows Cruz's tweet is nonsense and Cruz does, too. I suppose I'm biased, but I believe politicians on the right are far more likely to lie in order to say what the Trump base wants to hear.
Trump having said the Paris Agreement was unfair to the U.S. was a lie. It's just comprised of pledges made by countries to reduce greenhouse emmisions. Nothing will happen to countries that don't achieve their goals.
I've read there needs to a 40% reduction in emmisions to end global warming. Given that the U.S. contributes about 15%, Ocasio-Cortez's utopian dream of completely eliminating our emmisions won't have much of an impact on the problem.
