Well, what about Rudy Giuliani - America's Mayor?
It sounds like we largely agree on everything.
Most people who look at this are asking, "How can we transition to renewables as fast as possible?" This is the wrong question. And it leads to the wrong answers because it concentrates on what they think we CAN do rather than what science says we MUST do.
The proper question is, "How fast do we need to transition in order to secure a sustainable planet?"
When you ask that question you get a very different answer and a very different emphasis.
For industrialized nations, the answer is that we need to be at net zero by 2025. Nobody thinks that is possible, but we MUST do it anyway.
Nobody really thought we would get to the moon by 1969 either.

Larry Ellison? (If you respect him, that is...)
But all those endorsements from former generals and admirals only energize the Trump base. They are smug elites who are part of the Deep State, conspiring with the rest of establishment against the people's president.
And we can forget about "undecided" voters. If you are still "undecided" about Trump, you are probably not going to vote.
Melanie has cancelled on Trump. She will not go to his rally due her lingering COVID cough. She has already opened the exit door on Trump.

Excess mortality stats show 400,000 more deaths than a normal year, extrapolating to Dec 31.
Which suggests that the official COVID stats underestimate the true toll. Although it's complicated and not actually knowable.
Reminder that Florida, NC, AZ, GA are not necessary.
All Biden has to do is hold the 2016 map plus MI, WI, PA.
Per 538, the odds of each:
MI: 92%
Wi: 88%
PA: 87%
Looking pretty good. Hard to imagine one of HRC's 2016 states going to Trump. Maybe NH I guess.
we need more of this. But dems on twitter are trying to build momentum for a mightly bulldozer of Dem lawmaking, should Ds win the WH and Senate.
The two people running for guvnor of UT made a peace video. Appealing to our better angels to work together.

I've looked at the excess death stats and that sounds about right.
The visualization below shows how the weekly "excess deaths" line up with the reported COVID. The excess deaths are notably higher than the COVID deaths and they seem to follow outbreaks and such. Whether they are directly additional COVID deaths or something else (e.g. a rise in other untreated conditions) remains to be seen.
https://monkeystyping.neocities.org/WeeklyExcessAndCovidDeaths.pngNote that the excess death data reporting lags, so the last 6 weeks or so are undercounted.

do you see these infection rates in the Dakotas? Have we seem this level of infection in a population? 103/100,000, seven day average of new daily infections.
deaths are climbing, but even per capita the state is only average in total deaths.
I hope they can keep the deaths from piling up like they did in the northeast.

I think Thiel backed away several months ago.
But you could add Ted Nugent and John Voight to the list of "famous" Trumpkins.
